Product Manager by trade. Builder by nature. This is a small window into how I think and what I make.
I build digital products for a living and interactive experiences for fun. This site is one of those — a 3D portfolio built with Three.js, GSAP, and Blender.
A fluid simulation rendered in Blender:
I like taking ideas from initial sketch to release, then measure the impact. As a product manager, I work in teams of experts but I also enjoy being hands-on and design and code myself. It helps me to validate prototypes with the design team or work out the technical details with the engineers. In the end, I love bringing everyone together to create a digital experience that people love.
I care about the impact of what I build. Right now, that means helping Germany's energy transition by making it easier for homeowners to switch to heat pumps and solar.
And yes, I also make donuts:
I've worked in startups and tech since 2017 — as a Product Lead at Friendsurance, a freelance Product consultant for startup clients, and now as Group Product Manager at thermondo, where I lead the Sales domain.
Product Discovery is crucial for a product's success but in my experience it falls short far too often. That's why I put an extra effort into Discovery. At Friendsurance, I have set up a Product Discovery process for a team of 20+ contributors, which enabled us to get budget and focus for the necessary research, validate ideas and fill the product roadmap with features that actually made a difference.
Here's an animation visualizing a continuous Discovery process:
I combine behavioral data, growth models, and qualitative research to build experiences that acquire, activate, and retain users sustainably. Experimentation is a core part of how I work — from defining North Star metrics to designing A/B tests.
I also enjoy analyzing growth patterns in the wild — here's a case study on Clubhouse's viral growth mechanics.
Good product thinking comes from connecting dots across disciplines. I invest in interests outside of work that sharpen how I approach problems.
Cycling, kitesurfing, and hiking teach patience and commitment — the same qualities that make long product bets pay off. Berlin is home, but I get out whenever I can.
Bolzano, Italy:
I play piano daily and build 3D scenes in Blender. Both are practices in iteration — start rough, refine relentlessly, know when to ship. The same loop I run at work.
Whether it's about product, technology, or just a good conversation — I'm always open to connecting.
